DESCRIPTION:When:  Wednesday\, December 8\, 6-8 pm\n\nCookie Exchange:  We invite you to bring a dozen cookies and/or Women’s Socks to donate to Sarah’s Circle.  Drop off before 6 pm on Nov 8 if you’re not attending the Cookie Exchange or GWCA Meeting in person.\n\nMeeting:  7pm – 7:20\, GWCA Meeting.  GWCA 2021 Golden Rake Winner to be announced.\n\n\n\nFor information on event location and where you can drop off cookies and socks ahead of time\, contact info@gracelandwest.org\n\n\n\n________________________________________________________________________________________\n\n\nMore details on Cookie donation for Sarah’s Circle and GWCA Cookie Exchange:\nBake cookies to share!\n\nWould you be willing to share this holiday season?  We will take them to Sara’s Circle (along with the dinner we will be providing). Please be sure to add a note about type of cookie and\, for instance that they contain nuts or dairy\, or are vegan or gluten free.\n\nOr make 2 or 3 dozen & pop by from 6-8 pm for a cookie exchange. For every cookie you bring for the exchange\, you can take one home. A great way to end up with a nice assortment!  And a lovely chance to spend a brief time celebrating the season with neighbors!\n\n\n\n________________________________________________________________________________________\n\nMore details on Women’s Sock Drive co-sponsored by the Filipino American Council of Greater Chicago for Sarah’s Circle to benefit women experiencing homelessness:\n\n\n\nDid you know that brand new socks are one of the most requested – needed – items at homeless shelters\, but often the least donated clothing? Those experiencing homelessness often suffer from foot problems caused by ill-fitting\, worn shoes\, or from the elements. A pair of new\, clean socks can help make them more comfortable and help alleviate blisters and infection.\n\nDonations will be delivered to Sarah’s Circle\, which provides a full continuum of services for women who have found themselves homeless or in need of a safe space. Located in Chicago\, Uptown neighborhood\, Sarah’s Circle mission is to provide housing\, life necessities\, and supportive services to help them permanently end their homelessness.
