From Scott M. Grens, Lake View High School Principal

Dear Lake View Parents, Family, and Community Members:

It is with great pride that I accept the position to serve as principal for Lake View High School, a school rich in history with a bright future. In the recent transition to Lake View High School, I reached outward to learn from our broad school community by meeting with many stakeholders; the voices of our neighborhood are speaking of the potential to achieve even more greatness together for the school community.

At Lake View, we are committed to providing high-quality educational opportunities for the students of Chicago with an understanding that education is a profession of service for our community. This summer, Lake View High School has partnered with FUSE and Mikva Challenge to offer “The Lake View Experience,” a unique opportunity specifically for students from Lake View High School feeder schools in grades 6, 7, and 8. Students will create their own path in problem solving in areas of Civics in the City of Chicago and Technology. If interested in participating in this program from August 11th to August 21st, please visit our website at www.lakeviewhs.com.

I see many similar accomplishments ahead for Lake View High School and encourage your collaboration. Together, we will engage the community, nurture partnerships, learn from one another, and build upon the many achievements of our students. I know you are committed to this common mission; I look forward to your ongoing involvement.

Thank you in advance for your support of the future of Lake View High School. Go Wildcats!
