Are you a renter, condo, home or business owner? If so, we need your help.
Please meet at the Greenview corner nearest your home or business. Bring 10 leaf bags and a rake or dust pan (yes it sounds crazy, but dustpans are great leaf scoops). You and other neighbors will clean up street, intersection and crosswalk leaves and clear the leaves from sewer grates.
Why??? Your work makes for safer winter walking and eliminates lots of leaves which desire only to clog sewers and contribute to street, vehicle and basement flooding. Your efforts make a big difference. Bring your family and neighbors and have fun. From October 10 through 17 you can leave bagged leaves on your parkway and not haul them all the way to the alley because the city does a special bagged leaf pickup to thank you for your effort.
