Our dear friend and colleague Dr. Rufino F. Crisostomo died peacefully early this morning. He would have been 82 years on 5 September. A longtime member of the Board of Directors of the Filipino American Council of Greater Chicago, he will be remembered for his ambassadorship and dedication to community service and philanthropic leadership.
Dr. Crisostomo leaves us a legacy to build upon, a vision to continually pursue and restore the good for our Filipino American and broader communities. Let us continue each day to be inspired by his example and his call to foster thoughtful cross-cultural dialogue, appreciation, and understanding – and make our Rizal Center a welcoming place for all.
Dr. Crisostomo brought us joy and we loved him well. We hold his family in our thoughts.
GWCA sends its condolences to Rizal and to his family and friends. We will miss our friend, Dr. Rufino Crisostomo.
