2014 School Supply Drive
Collection for local families in need through the Common Pantry, Lincoln
Square Friendship Center and Ravenswood Community Services July 29th through
August 22nd For children, school is once again around the corner. To get all
the supplies requested, it can cost a family $50. For many families this
amount is unaffordable; especially if there is more than one child in the
family. There are more requests than ever and we need your help in meeting
these needs. Your donation of supplies can mean hundreds of children will be
ready for the school year. The following items, as well as many others, are
typically listed as items needed during our back-to-school backpack drive.
Could you please send this flyer out in your newsletter, post it in
neighborhood businesses windows, perhaps your Block Club or Neighborhood
Group would like to make a donation or start your own collection.
If so, we will be happy to pick-up the school supplies.

Gardners Wanted for August 3rd Garden Walk
Calling All Gardeners!
Our 32nd annual Graceland West Garden Walk will be Sunday, Aug. 3, 12-5. This year we will have an architectural tour of Lake View High School and an insect petting zoo which will be part of our Master Gardener display. You may sign up by emailing me stating if you are showing your front/back or both yards. If you live on an east-west street please encourage your neighbors to participate as our visitors will be more likely to visit a street if there are at least 3-4 gardens participating. Thank you, as always this is a fun event.
