GWCAFest 2013

Hi Everybody:

GWCAFEST is Saturday, Sept 7th, 2013, in front of Warner Park and Gardens.  For a complete rundown of activities see the newsletter below.

This is a good opportunity for students that need to fulfill a volunteer requirement for scho0l or Boy Scouts, we encourage participation and would be happy to sign off on volunteer time.  To volunteer for the games and membership table please contact Barb Sullivan at 773-327-2940 or BARBARASULLIVAN06@comcast.net

GWCAFest Newsletter Extra

Graceland West is pleased to announce our annual GWCAFest Block Party and Membership Drive!

Saturday, September 7th, 2013  –  12pm – 5pm

Warner Park and Gardens, 1442 W. Warner

GWCAFest, now in its 34th year, as usual, offers something for everyone.

With all the activities planned, it’s sure to be enjoyable to the entire family.

But the best thing about the fest is meeting your neighbors in the Graceland West community.

Welcome one and all, we’ll see you there.  The Featured events include:

Assembles at Cullom and Greenview and kicks off at

11:45am. Dress your pets in their finest costume and win a valuable prize.

 

Fun for the kids

Sarah’s Pony Rides supply the ponies and petting zoo.  Bring your kids to experience a little bit of country in the big city.

 

Games

All your favorite carnival games with prizes and a silly string challenge every ½ hour.  Spin art, face painting, balloon sculptures and much more!

 

It’s Magic

Randy Bernstein of the famed Magic by Randy, a perennial favorite of the GWCAFest, will perform about 3:30.  Don’t miss it!

 

Food and Drink

Enjoy a hot dog or a sausage, some mac n’ cheese, and of course, the most delicious corn on the cob ala Mark and Alex. Save room for the finest dessert table, unmatched anywhere and supplied by the finest bakers on earth!  Bring your baked goods and try your neighbor’s. It is great fun and oh so yummy.

 

 

 

Music

Lisa B. another GWCAFest favorite will delight us with her dulcet sounds for the afternoon.

 

Adults Only

The wine tent features a wide variety of assorted samples generously sponsored by Que Syrah.
